We sit down for a special conversation with Sonia and Simran – sisters and colleagues at Manan as they talk work, who they'd trade places with (this is a surprising one), and how their personal journeys have intertwined with their professional lives.
Q: What does your everyday work look like?
Simran:
My day-to-day tasks cover a range of things. Sometimes I'm barcoding products, keeping track of sales reports, overseeing inventory, and handling shipping. But sometimes you'll also find me engaging with customers – it's quite dynamic that way. Collaboration is key in my position, so I work closely with our other departments like design and marketing to make sure our brand strategy is reflected in everything we put out, and that our product lineup remains compelling.
Sonia:
There's definitely a jack-of-all-trades situation going on, and happily so. I do everything from keeping tabs on our inventory to liaising with our buyers for sampling and production. Oh, and making sure our customers feel completely satisfied with our products too. There is also a lot of cross-team collaboration – we're like a well-oiled machine, constantly bouncing ideas off each other, sharing insights and brainstorming ways to make our brand better.
